AT BAUHAUS, I HAD LONG CHROMATIC SERIES MADE OUT OF NATURAL MATERIALS, FOR THE TACTILE ASSESSMENT OF DIFFERENT TEXTURES. THE STUDENTS HAD TO FEEL THE SEQUENCES OF TEXTURES WITH THEIR FINGERTIPS, KEEPING THEIR EYES CLOSED. THEIR SENSE OF TOUCH WOULD SOON IMPROVE AMAZINGLY. LATER, I HAD TEXTURED MONTAGES MADE OUT OF CONTRASTING MATERIALS. THESE RESULTED IN FANTASTIC CREATIONS OF A WHOLLY NEW EFFECT.
