IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY, MACHINE VISION SYSTEMS ARE USED TO GUIDE INDUSTRIAL ROBOTS, GAUGE THE FIT OF STAMPED METAL COMPONENTS AND INSPECT THE SURFACE OF THE PAINTED VEHICLE FOR DEFECTS.
